does anyone have any experience with a Imco shorty on a 27 Fountain?

Yes he is. JimV is his screen name. Everyone here is going to need more info to help you out. I don't know about the shorty on the Fountain, but i'm sure it depends on step vers. nostep and distance of prop shaft from the bottom of the boat. Post some #'s to get some good advise.
