Does anyone have any experience with any of these mufflers?
I'm looking for non-switchable, transom mount 700-800hp mufflers.

Hydropower www.hpisilencers.com at $920
IMCO mega704 at $653
Gatlin GAT72 at $845
www.ggb.ca at $820.

I have no experience with the full time but here are some HPI's for sale:

I have the Gaffrig Outlaws wich are available in switchable and non switchable. They work great (Switchable) The even take the harsh crackle off when open and you can talk when closed with no problem.

Marty- Check out some of the Borla race mufflers...I used mine inside the boat in a side exhaust setup...didn't relize how good they worked until I removed them to use a modified Teague tip inline...very loud when the tips were open. I think I remember reading that Mr. Gadgets had the Borlas mounted on the exterior of his transom, under the swim platform. I would sell my 12" case Borlas for less than 1/2 of what I paid if anyone thinks they could make them work...I just don't know how good these muffs would look hanging off the back end of a boat
Anyway, I didn't jump in on this thread to unload some of my junk Just lettng you know that they muffle adequatley and cost alot less if you can make them work in your application.

Marty

Dan from HPI. How is it going? I thought that I would jump in and tell you a little about us. I came up with a way to silence engines with out cutting any HP. We do have so comp out there but we are the only company supplying Cig, Sonic, Livorsi, and many others. I hope that this lends us a little credibility to who we are.

Hi Dan, I do like the looks of your mufflers. What are the deminisions- diameter and length for the transom mount. Do you have a cut-away view of your muffler?

The total Length of the Silencer is 15". From the outside of the transom to the tip it is 10". The dia is 6". If you have a fax I can send you some specs on it.
