Question Question on manifolds temp 1999 502

On 1999 502MAG (415HP) both port manifolds run much hot than the starboard (twins). After a hard run the starboard manifolds are warm to the touch. Both port manifolds are hot, can barely keep your hand it. Is this correct or is something wrong? Water pumps are new.

Bob Teague had a description of this in his Powerboat mag column some time ago. I believe what you are seeing is normal. My motor did this as well.

Regards,

Mark
