Don"t you mean "Scat" Cranks?
Scat cranks I have checked have had every machining error you can imagine and then some. However, sometimes they have a sale on ''Reconditioned" cranks. The ones I have seen are .010-.010" undersize and PERFECT. They really are dirt cheap and very good pieces. If you get a new one, some are fine, some are not. Just check every measurement on them.

Cat power systems supply most of the asian stuff for Scat Eagle etc. Private label "H" beam rods are almost all cat.

If willing to buy Callies why even consider Cat? You are correct about being worth it.

Just looking for the best deal....I saw some rotating assemblies on ebay using them and had never heard of them so I thought I'd ask....

If you buy the cheap rotating assy's get it balanced from a reputable shop that will double check the QC. Lukavich Racing engines in Royal Oak Mi. sells tons of Eagle rotating assemblies for street, drag, and marine. They do the balancing and check the cranks / rods for dimensional correctness. They also sell high dollar parts like Lunati, Crower and Callies. If you are going to buy the pieces seperately definately get the higher dollar parts. Just my .02.
