Default Rapid Fire #1 questions

After reading about the 502 owners saying that these plugs helped in cleaning up their transom I went ahead and decided to give them a try. Out of the box they are gapped at .045 but my 99 502 says .040 gap. I went to the Rapid Fire web site and they do not recommend regapping these plugs, should I do it anyway or are they fine at .045???

I would leave them as they are. The .040 gap spec from Merc is for a standard plug. Let us know how they work.

I have some snake oil ontiment you can rub on the block and gain 5mph too !!!
as I've said many times you can cut the ground strap off and the motor should run fine ,,, add a MSD or Crane ignition that will help
the problem ,
,,but until then they 5 thousanth gap difference is irrelevant which ever you like will do fine ,

It depends on the ignition type coil type ect. on gap setting to be critical

Not looking for any "snake oil" remedies or miracle HP gains, just did not want to pay $10 per plug for MERC stuff!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info and will put them in at .045 like they came out of the box.

mhz800 SMR two-way radio ??

L M A O ,,, I'll gladly share anything with a oso brother ,,,I bet it was easier for you to get the hydrofrins than me to get that snake oil ,it was tough ,,
But we really might get 15mph and on my new baylinner it would make it the king of the lake

I was not picking on you just playing around , so please don't be offended,,,, next time get some A/C's from NAPA,or autozone ect.
2.00 to 2.35 each and work great ,pm me I'll give you correct numbers ,,hope the rapid fires help
