Question What size Alternator to run??

Ok guys I need to know what every one is running on their boats to power there sounds. I boat mostly in the Arizona and the blue Pacific. What i run into is amps cutting out after around hour half of play time.

Now we are bumpin the system pretty loud during running and mooring so I have installed 3 Optima's and switched two of them solely to power the sounds and reserver the other battery for the mo mo.

I have 4 12"'s powered by an 1800watt amp and 8 6x9's powered by two high end Sony amps not exactly sure of the output but it is more than enough.

My problem is the stock marine alternator is only 65amps and i can not find a marine alternator or someone that can modify my existing Mercury Marine one to bump up my charging system.

Any help on what you guys are running will be helpful.

Check with AlterStart in Texas. Ask for Bobby 800-607-0016. Tell him Larry Huddle sent you.
135 AMP Single Wire USCG Approved. Paid $100 for mine and works great.

Just thinking guys what type of power are you running on your sounds. Also how long does it usually take you to recharge your batteries back to where you feel they are strong again.

Allways good to have your feedback, thanks.
