I would definitely go for the Inconel exhaust valves- don't buy a set of std. automotive head assemblies. Bad things can happen if you get regular exhaust valves, and get water in the exhaust later.

Some people will argue that they never had a problem with automotive valves, and many probably never have. But it can and does happen- take a chance, and you could wipe out a whole motor. Merlin/World products used to make the VR marine heads which were setup with all the good stuff, but unless I missed something it appears they may have dropped those from the catalog.

Good Luck!

I've also heard good things about the PRO-TOPLINE.
Flat Lander Racing has "MARINE" versions listed for $1679 per pair fully assembled. The claim 28hp over merils out of the box. Flow #'s are listed on there site.

Biggus,

seems like some of the posts from 7/30/03 are missing since the site was down for maintenance today.

I therefore lost your phone number. Re: Mark IV rectangular port heads from a 1992 502 Magnum.

You can go with the Gen V magnum rect. heads on a Mark 4 motor if you want. I've been running this set up for years with a rect. port intake. Might be easier to find those heads. You only need to add a small water passage hole in the gasket to make it work (use the old gasket as a template).

Just a thought.
