Default Mark IV Cylinder Head assemblies

After 700 hours or so, buddy of mine finally experienced a complete erosion in 1 of the exhaust ports, the head is shot.

The engines are 454 Magnums, Mark IV's built probably in 1990-1991 timeframe. He's been looking around and can't seem to find any. Wants to replace them with brand new head assemblies complete, same as original. Any ideas where to look and who might have them in stock? Wants 4 of them so he can replace the same on the other engine.

Thanks in advance.

Just curious, but what about Vortec heads? Would they even work on the Mark 4's?

I think he's having trouble finding the Merlins, nobody seems to have them in stock.

Anther very good option would be the cast iron Pro Topline cylinder heads - excellent flow numbers and fairly economical.

Default Heads

I have 1 pair on a mercury 500 bulldog.
It's a 540 talldeck, but the heads are the
same for a standard deck.

Willing to sell them, I don't know what the people
on the board feel there worth.

Under which circumstances would you need to change the exhaust valve for the Inconel exhaust valves in after market out of the box heads?
