Breaking in a new roller cam
I have heard differing opinions on breaking in new roller cams -- everything from "it isn't necessary" to "it is just like a flat tappet."
Let's hear your opinion.

Everything I have heard about rollers is that they don't need any special break in like flat tappets. Flat tappet lifters actually spin in the bore. They need to be run at higher rpms on initial break in to insure that they are spinning and an even wear pattern is developed.
Rollers don't spin in the bore----at least they better not, so normal engine breakin is all thats needed.
