12% is optimistic, but I have achieved 11.94% with my 30' twin 454 scarab when all moons were aligned and low pressure system moving in. I'd think BH's formula could do it with everything trimmed primo.

Trailer boat mag did a test a few years back of 13 different props including the Ballistic. The Ballistic scored very high. The three blade ones approached the slip rate of most 4 blades. It also had the highest top end and second best acceleration. Now this can vary boat to boat. I ran two on my 21' Liberator...a 21" with a 460 cu in and a 25" with a 540 cu in. They both worked better for me that other props I tried , plus they look neat too.
The lower pitch of the Ballistic is giving you the better acceleration. The Mirage sounds like it's too much pitch for your power/weight ratio. That's why it's such a dog out of the hole.
My prop guy told me one reason the Ballistics are faster is the blades are already thin and cause less drag. I'm not so sure you can have one of those labbed. If you compare the two , you should be able to see and feel the difference in thickness.

Sooooo I still am hoping to get some advice on what to do with these props...Whats everyone's opinon on which one would I get the most out of? Should I use the Mirage and get it worked to get anouther 500rpms or so if possible or should I try and pitch up the Ballistic and keep the Rpm's where they are? Thoughts anyone?
