Default Has anybody used the Arizona Speed and Marine on The 500 EFI's

Anybody used the Arizona Speed and Marine upgrade kit for the 500EFI. It is $995 and only 25 to 30 HP. Is it really worth the money?

Default The Kit

The kit consist of Recalibrated ECU, MSD ignition box and harness, fuel pressure regulator and air filters. There may be more, but I am not sure.

I essentially have (I did not buy their kit but wound up with the same components in the end) and have no regrets. The improvement with the MSD alone is noticable and the ECU, and air cleaner work well.

However, my advice would be wait until you have "more of a reason" to go with the package. If you are contemplating a cam or heads...wait. You'll need to reprogram the ECU again for another $350. If you are on the rev limiters and are looking to squeek another couple of 100 RPM out of the deal, then it is worth it...have ASM bump the limiter.

On the other hand, it is cheaper to have ASM reprogam the ECU and complete the package on your own.

Default The Kits

Thanks to all. I believe that if you add the MSD and can raise the rev limiter you will gain top speed even if the hp is very little.

I done all that on my 502 did not see any gain from what I had originally. If you're not hitting the rev limiter now, the MSD box probably will not take you up that much.

On a different note I added all this to a 454 Mag, and I picked up about 3 mph. So who knows.

I added the Vortech/Teague air cleaner. Looks a lot better but didn't gain anything by itself.
