What paint to use
I am almost ready to paint the hull of my Magnum so I can put it on my new trailer. What I want to know is what is the best paint system for the bottom. Would it be imron, Polyurithane, base coat/clear, or this awlgrip I have read about? Keep in mind this will be a race boat so I need the paint that will be the most durable, and creat the least drag and look excellent. It will be white if that helps. The hull sides and deck will be painted later with a basecoat/clear, but for now I just want to paint the bottom so I can get the trailer under it and movable.

Can you really have all three. Most durable least drag and looks great.I did mine in Interlux two part epoxy,it's white and I think it would be the most durable as it is epoxy and made to be under water and cures hard. This is called a bottom paint but has no antifouling additives but has teflon in it.Least drag got me there?looks great then my call would be alwgrip but rember it was not made for below water line.Heard it would do well if the boat is not in the water to long week maybe then always stored on dry bunks.
