Tapered wrist pins??
New to me. Can someone give me the pros and cons and any other information. When to use, when not to use. Are they for floating or pressed? Must have a heck of a lock or I would think they would want to come out.

Formula31,
The taper is introduced into the I.D. of the pin resulting in weight savings and reduced reciprocating mass. They are used primarily in max performance applications but also have benefits on the endurance side also. I would suggest you consult with your piston manufacturer to advise you on your particular needs.
Hope this helps,
Bob
