The early style Merc 330's came with 2-bolt mains. Then around the late 1980's or so Merc started using the 4-bolt blocks in the 330, but I think they still used cast cranks, pistons and the 3/8" bolt rods.

I have a complete Mark IV 330 that I bought for $1500. It has 300 hours on it and is together and ready to run. I plan on putting in my Baja this winter so I can keep my custom engine for a different boat. I would say if it is a 4-bolt block it is worth around $300 to $400.
