exhaust...preventing water from entering?
I have a 1995 VIP Victory with a 350 Mag MPI. The boat has the stock thru hull exhaust. The exhaust comes out below the water when at idle or no wake speed. It has external flappers and internal valve looking pieces that have a pin in the middle. The valve is like a circle that has been bent in the middle at about a 110 degrees and it pivots on a pin in the middle. (I noticed that one of them is missing half of the circle..need to replace). What should I do to keep water from entering the exhaust etc...or what else do I have to worry about? thanks, J.

thanks, I'll give them a call. I suppose I just need the size of the exhaust and that should be about it?? I heard that they had a little more trouble with the below water exhaust than the above, as far as water entering. (from slowing too fast, backing too fast, or big waves slamming the transom when parked on the beach havin a few brews). Is this true or not?
