Shadow cat
Im looking to purchase a 1984 30ft Shadow Cat. The boat is all original and in very good condition. It comes without power, it had twin outboards. All the rigging cables are there steering and throttle. It has manual jack plates. Boat comes on a nice custom trailer. These boats are said to be good rough water boats, has anyone had one or riden in one. What type of speeds would I get with 2.5s The guy wants $24,000 is that a good deal?

Sounds kind of high. For comparison, it's not unusual to find Chris Cats w/o power or drives (I/O) for under $20K. I've bought 2 for around $15K and $16K.
Also Shadows may not be listed in the blue book, making them harder to finance or insure. It may not affect you, but may affect whoever you sell it to.
Just my $0.02.
