Thumbs up

My wife subs out commercial work to http://www.ascoweb.com/ in Va, not far from Dulles Airport. I have had a tour of the shop and have seen stockcar chasis out of the oven there. Talk to Jim and be real specific about what you want, color, gloss, etc.. Send him some pics. He is a real busy guy who does not mind helping out on small parts...

Mention Faith C. my ole' lady!

I have a few items that are powdercoated on a goped I have, and I know that it can scratch, and doesnt hold up for forever or atleast on my goped frame it didnt.

But I know temp isnt an issue, because I believe they bake the item anyways.

Question BLUE MERCURY DEMO PROPS

Now that I am Thinking about it ,

The BLUE PROPS FROM Mercury that they give dealers for demo props ,

are more than likely Powder COATED.

I know it almost impossible to get it off .

Cool,Thanks for the offer ,I would like to take you up on that sometime, if nothing else just for show ,who knows maybe we could offer it as a service .

when you get a chance send me a p.m. where to send the prop.

Thanks Darin, do it in what ever color you can or what ever would look the coolest on a Black outdrive.

Thanks Darin

What about having something repowder coated? Does the old stuff have to come off or just roughed up? A friend was asking me the other day, I think for a color change.

Im thinking they probably remove the old stuff by sandblasting it or another method but im not sure.

Houston prop--those probs could be anodized.

I had my rails re done on my 93 Fountain which has/had the white-out pkg. Friend of mine owns a premium class 8 truck painting facility and he talked me into a paint product called " Metal-lock" ( I think ) which they use for custom alum fuel tank colors. So far, I would vote for this over powder coating as that can chip too easily. Chicks get pissed when you ask them to remove their rings for a ride. So I give them the option of putting their hands down their pants. Dave
