Surface drives

Ok, I'm not sure I understand surface drives. What is the benefit of converting my bravo one into a surface drive? Can someone help??

increased reliability ASD drives take a crap load of power to break. It willa lso be faster thana bravo and high speed handlign will probably be better if its setup corrected. Negative are low speed handling might not be as good and reverse is kind of crappy on them. DOcking get alittle tiougher BUT if you're killign bravos left and right surface drives are the ****.

Arneson has a converstion for the Bravo. Direct bolt on, If someone would like to give me 16g's I'd love to test it out !! I think that it is the way to go.

Arneson surface drives do require a transmission and probably have to move engine foward. But they do work great and are hard to break. They work better on twin engines than single engine boats but still work nice

with thier bravo conversion kit the engien stays put the tranny sits in the extension box so you don;t have to remount your engine. Direct bravo replacement.

Pretty slick looking setup.
