Eliminator219,

To be honest with you I am selling the heads because I am going to bigger cubic inch engines and those heads are a hair too small. For what I know, JimV is one of the best in the area for head porting (by hand), although I must admit I am going to the new AFR CNC ported heads as they do VERY WELL right out of the box---just ask Monty. If I already had a set of heads like you that needed porting then I would take them to someone competitive like Jim and let him port them.

I have come across some other guys who do very well at porting as well, are very competitive and for maybe a little less $$$ then what I have spent with JimV, however they are not close by, but rather down in the North Carolina's.

If you guys give me a phone call I'd be happy to discuss further about the heads as I CANNOT give or recieve PM or E-mail anyone on the OSO website. Thanks

Default AFR-CNC Heads

Mark
Thanks for the information, I will try and give you a call Saturday evening,If I dont reach you I'LL try again Sunday about noon.I dont really care if they are done in the Carolinas, Mich or anywhere else I just want a good job. The price that I have been quoted in your state I think that I could almost get new boxed cnc ported sets.As a rule I get good prices on parts at VIS in Hammond.I plan on going with shaft rockers and all other good Head parts. I was going to go with new Dart 588s but decided that I would stay with my 540s and do some updating. If I can pick up around 75 more horse or torque lbs it will put me right around 900 and that about where I think I need to be to hold my own against most of the new boats comming around.Right now I am only running about 5or 6 lbs Boost thru intercoolers, but I dont want to go much more..Let me know your thoughts..

Les

Les and Dave,

Like I said, if you already have heads JimV would be a good candidate for hand porting. The Pro-1's he did for me flow very well and make great power. To be balanced, the flip side to that these days is there are other options you can go if you want. Of course some of it dictates how much $$$ you want to spend.

Les, I look forward to hearing from you. Any of you guys can call me anytime.
