The tip of the rocker needs to run on the middle of the valve stem during the full travel of the valve. To test that get a lite spring & install on valve. Assemble pouched, rocker arm & I use white grease on the tip of the valve stem. Turn the engine over by hand & watch where the rocker arm tip rides on the valve. If it rides too close to the end you need longer pushrods. If it rides too far to the inside you need shorter pushrods. To get the correct length you can go to hardware store & get some dowel rod & make to look like a pushrod. Or you can take a regular pushrod, cut in two, then use stud with nuts so you can adjust he length of pushrod. Once you have the length go to performance shop & they will be able to get you the length you need.
