Gaffrig Gauge Question?

I am looking to upgrade from my Faria gauges in my 33 Outlaw to some Gaffrig gauges. Nothing elaborate just some good clean white faced gauges which I have found used.

My question is the picture i am looking at of the Gaffrig guages shows the tachs both at between 1000-2000 rpms while the dash is sitting on the table. My guess is that once these get hooked up they will return to zero or when the key is powered on they will. Whats right?
My Faria gauges lay on zero.

Ditto above. Mine do the same thing.

Yup, what they said. I'm just not impressed with the accuracy (lack of it, actually) of the Gaffrigs though.
