Lash Caps
Are lash caps required with 11/32 stems and rollers.I had a local engine builder recomend this?I had just assumed I didn't need them.I was under the impression they were for use when you did not have hard valve stems.

They provide a more durable running surface and lengthen the valve in the event you need to correct geometry.

All the dragracers I know run them. They say they still beat them to death, but it saves the valves (and they run big $$).
All these guys turn 7,800 or more.
