Default Difference in prop pitch?

There is a set of 26pitch Bravo III props in the classifieds that I am considering. I have a 271 Formula w/ a 454 Mag and I have a 24p right now. The boats new to me, only had it out once and don't know much about prop pitch. Anyone have any suggestions: stay w/ 24p, buy 26p for backups, etc....?

you need to know your rpm at wide open throttle with the 24 if you go to a 26 you will drop appx 200-300 rpm and possibly slow down. your 454 should run at 4800 - 5000 rpm at wide open throttle.

Sell your boat and buy an ATV.
