2003 Checkmate ZT260 582ci Quadrotor Whipple EFI 1200HP+
650HP min. Hydraulic steering is a must over 75mph.
My 26' checkmate needed 800hp to hit 90mph.

One of our friends built a 27 Fountain with a 540.......similar to 26scarabs engine. I think he was about 650. It did 80.

27' Fountain No Step No blower No Bull
My 1992 went 80 with 660 hp. Stock bravo set up.
Blown 850hp it went 85. Stock bravo set up.
Blown 930hp it went 100 with stand off box.
Now it's at 750hp going 90 couple mph with a whole bunch of test time dialing in the X, props ect. By the way it's for sale too!!

1991, 27 FOUNTAIN
Go-fast .com has a nice power speed calc if you know the weight , gps speed and slip.I did it on my 27, it said it required 575 hp propshaft to move 5700 lbs to 80 mph.
