Default 525sc

Does anyone know what year Mercury started using CMI exhaust on the 525sc as standard equipment?

John. My name is Brian. This is in part about your question but I am also curious. Me and my Dad owned an Eliminator Dealership in Dallas. I had a customer that had an 18' Donzi classic, painted white with a red stripe down the middle. Did lots of performance enhancements to said boat. I was just wondering if you were the same person or not. My E-mail is ramm150@sbcglobal .net. I am awaiting your reply. Thank you

1997-- I think. Thats also the last year the made the 525SC. I have a 1996 Gen V engine and it came with Gils. The 1997 gen VI's had CMI's.

Thats according to info on www.mercruiserparts.com

JLS, I am interested in a boat with 525's and wanted CMI headers.
