Default Will XR Drives fit on a ?

Will it fit on a standard bravo 1 Transom Assembly ?

Also is the Drive any longer or shorter than the
standard bravo 1 ?

This is for a single engine 29' Power Quest
with a 540 ci in it. I don't think the power
is as hard on the current Bravo as the weight
is.

Thanks for any help.

Yes it will, but you must change the gimble bearing. (The new one has a red dot on it.) Other than that the drive will mount up fine and it is the same size.

Be sure to put a good drive shower on it. Those straight cut gears run hot.

You also need to put a spacer in the trim cylinders to prevent U -joint from binding in the event you ran the engine in trailer position. The trim cylinder end cap is removed and a small plastic spacer is inserted to limit the trim up. Merc has a PN for the whole kit, gimble bearing, seal behind gimble bearing and limit for the cylinder. There may have been a piece for the bellows, can't remember but it had to do with clearance for the larger U-Joints.
