The one that's just about behind the lower hose nipple.

Pull off the circ. hose and try it. The bolt is a short 7/16 and Merc makes a special one w/ washer built in.

Well I wish I had the Merc bolt and not this POS that 1/2ass jackleg "mechanic" put on it. I'm going to have to pull the pump. What I have doesn't even have a washer. He'll NEVER touch my boat again. The reason I'm even F***ING with that bolt is because 1/2ass put the wrong belt on it and my engine ran hot. 2+" of slack in the belt at the full extension of the bracket, which appears to have been drilled on to make more room, and I suppose because it didn't have a washer is why it had THREE inches of slack when it ran hot.
Back to the dock...
I don't mean to rant on you guys, I'm sorry.

I hate to tell you this KH but you don't need to take that bolt out to adjust/remove the belt. Only crack it loose with a 5/8" wrench... doah. How did you get it out?\

I found that out when I figured out I had to pull the water pump pulley anyway.

doah? What's that mean?

The trick is to drop the bracket below the bolt hole, start the bolt without the bracket in place, screw bolt about 1/2 way in, then slip the bracket over the bolt head. The hole on the bracket should have a tear drop shaped hole to accomodate this.

Doah is just an expression used when one just does something that one wishes he had not

Oh you mean DOH!

My Skater buddy was helping me and he took the bolt all the way out. This bolt's too long I'm going to get the right one tomorrow. Got the port side header on---NOW I know that you MUST get the back bolt on #1 started before you do crap else. Dammit man!

These headers fit the boat perfectly, the 90 pipe butts up right to mr. collector. Saweet!

My stock exhaust had 2 hoses each but the headers have a plug in the collector hole, I guess(hope?) I can get a nipple to screw in that hole easy enough at Home Depot or the marina maybe?

Thanks for your help fellas.

You can get the nipple at many hardware stores. Get brass ones.

3/4 NPT with a 1" hose connection.
