502 efi's rebuild longblocks repower ??
94 502/415 EFI, I've got low compression on one cylinder on port engine. 430 hours on both engines. Starboard run find no problems. Should I just rebuild the one or maybe go with a longblock? I plan on keeping boat 30' awesome. Are the 502/502hp compatible with my old efi. are should I try to find a pair of matched rebuilds and sell my old to cut my losses. Money is an issue but I don't want to go back and redo the work again next year. both motors are out but not torn down yet I know i don't have alot of posts, but sure need some guidance on this one.

To be safe,I'd go through both.Freshening up both now will probably be less expensive than rebuilding after one comes apart.Ofcourse,it always depends on why you have low comp in one cyl.BOB

I would get a price from Jasper marine. They have an excellent warranty with full replacement and labor. Their marine stuff is built along with the high performance engines, everthing is run broken end for you and the quality these days is equal to any.
If interested, let me know and I will get you a toll free number along with a contact.
I see you are in TN. I am on Boone Lake.
