Default Donzi 22'and Blackhawk out drive

Does anyone have a history on this drive with a 502 in front. I plan to run it on a small inland lake, and has anyone put a swim platform on one of these?
Thanks

I have two of them matched to 502's on my boat. I have been happy with them to date. Although it takes a little getting used to learning to navigate in the marina because of the fast idle speeds.

Offshore Only is a great site, but have you tried the Donzi Registry. They can give you great in site on the 22 Classics. Hope this is not inappropriate for the O.S.O. fans.

I had a 22 with a 502 / bravo - ran real well. I heard the blackhawks had a different hull - They were real fast for the power - low 80's. Should hold up to the power - not sure about the hull - will be a dirvers boat that is for sure.

I've heard repeatedly, that they are "a drivers boat". Many people actually have to drag some tab to get them stable. I guess that would be the easy way out. Great looking boat though. Do check out the Donzi sites. There are a couple with several boats like yours.

The 502, blackhawk boat is not that fast. best I EVER saw one run was 73 on stalker radar. And I ran a lot of them as a dealer.
They were easy to drive, like all sterndrives.

Was that a Donzi 22 with 502 and Blackhawk? - They will all run alot faster than 73. Pushing 80 MPH boats.

Yes the Classic 22....... had 3 of them with Blackhawks. 1 was a real blackhawk boat ( black with the gold hardware) and ya, 73 is it. 80 on the speedometer and from the sales guy, but not on the water.
The regular 22 502 mag only run 69-71 mph.
