suzuki dt85 power loss
i keep getting power loss at different times, sometimes after 10 mins and sometimes it takes about an hour before it happens.. i have disconnected the over heat sensor and the low oil sensor but this made no improvements.. i have been told that the power loss is due to the outboard shutting down to a crawl back to dock mode to avoid damage... does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening or anything else i could try or look at......

dj02380 If your motor is going into limp home mode you should here the horn. Could be a coil. Also I would check the fuel. Next time you go out take some tools. When the problem shows, pull the spark plugs, If one is wet , at least you will know which cylinder in the problem.

tanks for your reply.... when i get the power loss it stays with me... i then switch the engine off and try again... sometimes after 5 mins when i re start the engine it runs fine but sometimes the power loss is still there... when trying to increase the throttle during the loss of power not a lot happens but the engine has a hunting sound as if it wants to go again but it cant...... hope this explanation helps...
