new throttle& shifter cables
I am changing from a single lever control to a dual lever control. I have a 242formula w/454 mag with a alfa drive. What type should I get what length, and will I need anything extra to convert this project. I will be using a kiekhaefer controls.
Any thoughts would be great.

Cable lengths are are on your old cables, about a foot from each end. Teleflex will have a ft length stamp, while Morse will have total inches, just divide by 12. Either cable company will require a Merc connection kit for the motor linkage.

Now is the time to install new supreme cables. The supreme cables require less effort to operate. You will enjoy the easier motion.
I believe they are worth the extra $.

Most of the boat equipment retailers sell Morse Cables.
One good source is Overton's and there are numerous others. Just ask for the Supreme Morse Cable in your length. Go online and you will find Morse all over.
Good luck. You will appreciate the smoother and lower effort of the Supreme cables.
I know that I do.
