I have a few questions for those
of you that have converted to
IMCO shortened lower units.

I am considering installing these
on a 29' v hull, 6800#, full hyd.
steering, that runs in the low 80's.

1. Do you have to up your prop
pitch ?

2. Being there's less gearcase in the water,
does handling suffer ?

3. Any gearcase alignment changes needed?
( toe in-toe out)

4. I assume there's a flushing attachment
made for these ???

5. And lastly, how much of a speed increase
was gained ???

I have a single 28 scarab the biggest change I noticed was that I couldn't run a plain mirage, cavitated like a bastard. Speed and handling I don't think changed for some people it did, I didn't see any. You'll need a flusher for low water pickups.
