Default Teak Oil vs. Boiled Linseed Oil?

Has anyone here substituted boiled linseed oil for teak oil? It works pretty good on my outdoor furniture, just wondering how it will do on teak...

Thanks in advance,

Danny, I started using Teakguard last year and it is great stuff. Acoording to what they say, the black stuff on teak is bacteria that feeds on the teak oil. Since Teakguard is synthetic it gives the little bugs a bad taste and they don't grow. I have had it on some steps about a year and it still looks good. A couple of areas need to be redone, but they say just clean and re-treat.
