Default What type of fluid for tabs?

I have a set of Bennet tabs on my Scarab. The reservior is low causing the tabs to only lower a couple inches. I don't have a manual on these things.

What kind of fluid do I need to add in the reservoir?

I'm not sure what bennet says to use, but on my Baja, it had tranny fluid in it when I got it and thats what I kept using.

I think you can pretty much run anything in them, from motor oil, trans fluid, or PS fluid.

Can you tell at all what's in it now???

I need to take a closer look Griff. Looks pretty clear from what I remember...but that was last year at the end of the season. I'll check tomorrow after work.

Thanks,

Buck

Yup, Auto Tranny fluid it is. After a half hour of looking I finally found all the systems manuals that came with the boat. Man, I didn't realize I had all this stuff. The new owner of the boat will be happy to know that though.

Hmmmmm...Anyone know of some 28 Panteras for sale that I haven't already seen?

I've had my eye on both of those boats. DK is probably the ultimate 28 on the market right now....hands down. I little out of my budget though. I'm keeping my eye on Tim's boat too. Mine needs to go first and then we'll get serious.
