Default Need Oil Capacity for Engine

Have an 358ci SBC using a 86 year oil pan. I have added a Mercruiser remote oil kit off a 96 model year 5.7l. How much oil does this add to the capacity.I need to know how much extra oil the specs call for. I added a new aftermarket Mildon dipstick and it does not have any fluid level marks on it. I need to get a base line to mark the thing. I was guessing at least 1/2qt over stock but not sure....Can't find the specs right now but Im thinking the stock amount was 5.5qts.
