I used "desolve it" citrus solution from boatersworld. You may need a few bottles and a stiff bristle brush. Follow up it up with some "simple green." I don't miss that job. Results were good though. Good Luck.

De-Solv-It "Contractors Solvent" worked great for me. Clear bottle with orange color liquid. Also works well for removing silicon.

Hi Perf 2000
I am the owner of Dillonchem.com and Swipewipes.com (the new OSO Swipes and OSO Boat Shield products). Send me your "ship to" address and I will send you a 92% pure d-limonene product that will take that glue off. No charge.
Simply spray, let stand for approximately 10 minutes keeping it wet, agitate lightly, rinse with plenty of water. This product is called ORANGE SOLV that we sell to industrial customers for numerous cleaning applications including adhesive removal. Its safe and works great. You can't buy this stuff in a store. I use it as a bilge cleaner on my boat. Graphic guys use it to remove the glue behind vinyl etc etc. Go to dillonchem.com and learn about it and let me know about how much you need.
Just here to help a fellow boater.

I think Danny D just hooked you up!!! But if you are in a rush any hardware store should have the de-solv-it.

Pure Energy,
De-Solv-it isn't bad but is a little light on the active ingredients.
