Default 140 merc points system ignition question

a freind has a 85'ish run-about with a 140 merc I/O, does anyone know what the voltage should be on the + (plus) side of the coil while it is running.

thanks

If A Resistor Is Used, Should Be Around 7 Volts

I don't believe that is an external resistor system so you should see 12+ volts when running. --- jp
