Default Gauges fine..alarm still sounding?

I went to put the boat in Sat. adn the port alarm started to sound after the motor was running for a minute. All gauges were reading fine. Checked thr trim pumps and the oil level. Oil was a little low, not much. Topped off, them tried to run it on the hose on Sun. Alarm still on non-stop. Strainers look good and the gauges all read fine.

I'm stumped?

Greg

Just a hunch did you trace all your grounding wires from your sensors (drive bottle, etc..) I am not sure, but i believe the sensors work when levels get to low they create the ground for the circuit and the buzzer goes off.

I am sure someone else with accurate information will chime in on this thread, I am going to keep an eye on it!

You can still have a bad switch/sender.

With the motor running, remove the wire from all of the senders
(coolanttemp/oilpress/drivereservoir/exhausttemp(for those that have it)) and you'll find the offender.

mine was a oil pressure switch. You can also make a jumped wire to test between both motors . I bought the swith at napa for 3.00.It just a low pres switch.

also what mcollinstn said

Start by removing the sensor wires one by one that trigger the alarm. Do not reinstall any of the wires that are removed till you find the offending sensor.
Then reinstall them 1-by-1 so as not to have more than 1 sensor that is giving you the "false" alarm.
IMHO
