Thanks for the info.

It's just strange that this just started to happen after i pulled the drive and then re-installed the drive. How do i know if the Rams need to be rebuilt vs. the pump? will the Rams physically leak fluid past the seals ?

Is it possiable to tighten up trim ram bolts(or some other) to tight and cause drag/friction? just a thought.

too tight?no...they are shouldered....

we shim everything VERY tight...a few extra #'s of force means nothing to something that can move thousands.

Are you talking about the spacer on the inside of the gimble ring opposite side of where the limit switch screws on ? There is one on each side ?

If so, when i pulled everything to replace the gimble bearing the spacers stayed on the insides of the ring. i didn't remove them. just put it all back the way it came out.

oh those celery sticks where the pin goes through. I actually didn't touch that either. i dont even remember seeing it. That side drive housing is original....did they have the oblonged rear pin holes in 1996 ? If so the celery stick was stuck in there and didn't fall out when i pulled the drive.
