twin 29"hydro's X __? HP = 4800rpm?
I have a 29 fountain(non step)with twin 454 mags. Blew one up this weekend. Was running 27 old mirages at 4700 for 73 on the speedo. Now that I'm rebuilding and have a set of 29" 4bld hydros that I'd love to use how much additional hp should it take to reach a reasonable RPM(4800-5000).My guess using the boat speed calc is that my tired mtrs were making about 340 HP at the shaft and my rebuilts will make around 415, I hope. think this will do it? Thanks
