I have an '86 Scarab 21. I called Bennett and they recommended the St12 Sport tabs. Havn't used them yet. Installation was easy and Thomas from Bennett has taken customer service to a very high level, can't say enough good things about him. I will be splashing the boat the first part of next week and will let you know how they work. They sure look good hanging there on the transom.

It might need them - my with a big block porpoised bad until I put them on. I think they are all pretty similar. The Bennets were easy to install but probably others are too. Get the ones that are appropriate for your boat size.

I don't run them, or think I need them. They might work well if you want to stay on plane with a full back seat while running slow. I always wondered if you put on some real long K planes (2ft.) and ran them in the neutral postion if it would run as if the boat were 2 ft. longer? Anyone tried that?

I have K-plane 110's, Sometimes we ski with 4 or 5 pax on the boat and planes slower. Pic shows 25 mirage, ski with a Bravo and handles better to. Doug

I think they will help the boat. Mainly because I use this in the Ocean 95% of the time and where Im at (Ventura) when going North I have to fight the swells and my boat doesnt ride level that direction. Its fine coming back or going against it but I wish I had trim tabs when heading North. Also if they get rid of my "hunting" in the harbor I would take them just for that. Another good reason is Im light and most of my friends are heavier so If I ever need to trim out the load that would be helpful.

I have Bennett sport tabs on my 251 convinsor. I had the 12's then changed to the 16's. I am going to add an extension box so I bought new Billet tabs from Fred (Trick) for a great price considering what you get. They are not cheap. My opinion is that you will gain some flexibility in how you apply your boat with the tabs. As far as which ones, well thats really up to your wallet. If you have a stock motor then you would most likely be happy with the Bennett's but the Dana tabs look awesome !

If I had to put a set on now I would call Fred at Trick Marine (Too Old). I bought a billet optima battery box and stainless trim pump bracket from Fred, Nice stuff and Great service. Doug
