What is the cause of spun bearings in a low hour Gen VI 502???

too many RPMs will be the likely cause. too high oil temperature, too low pressure. The bearings you spun are most likely rod bearings since you didn't mention it. How fast were you spining it up?

1-Wrong clearance when built
2-dirty oil
3-pluged filter (thus low oil or no oil)
