Default Orange gook in 1 carb

I went to change jets in the Holley carbs I have and one of them had orange stuff in the bottom. It's like a waxy substance... anyone ever seen this? The other carb is clean as a whistle.

Without seeing a picture my guess would have to be old fuel that seperated.

Cheese... yes, kinda like pimento cheese, just not as thick... and when you squish it, it kind of disappears into an oily/greesy film.

Most likely you've gotten some bad fuel. Your best bet would be to clean out both carbs, install fresh gaskets, filters, and water sep. put some fresh gas in your tanks, and some fuel system cleaner/stabilizer.

From storage, use fuel stabalizer when you store and run the engines with the stabalizer in the tank untill the treated fuel fills the carbs
