anyone know the part # for a gen 5 454????its a 1993......

Go to NAPA and save yourself some $$. They have marine starters and can look it up for you.

check e-bay,,, they have the marine ones for 50-100 bucks.. I called for a merc. one and the guy wanted 279.00 plus shipping...

Should have a staggered bolt pattern. Make sure you get a late model permanent magnet one. The reliability is 4 times that of the older heavier model. SBC/BBC same starter. Even fits the inline 6.
