Default power steering noise

Above about 3800 RPM, I'm hearing a continuous "sucking" noise (I can imagine the jokes for this comment) that sounds like it is coming from the power steering pump. Is this normal? The fluid level is fine. It's a stock GM steering pump, and I'm running IMCO dual ram steering.

Thanks,
Steve

Default Re: power steering noise

by any chance is your air intake near your PS pump? If it doesn't make this noise unless it is under load then it shouldn't be your power steering. Remove the belt and see if the noise stops.
