How much power for a Bravo 1?
With a single-engine 24-foot boat, weighing 3,500-4,000 lbs, how much horsepower can I put into a standard, stock Bravo 1 without running into reliability problems?
I want to maintain a reliable boat because I hate getting stranded with broken parts.
Thanks,
Steve

Around 500hp would be my limit. You can go higher and roll the dice, but you wanted reliability. At 500hp, you'll have to know how to drive the boat. If you want to beat on the drive, then go down to around 350hp.

Me three
People can run 600hp though them with no problems , BUT.....
#1 NO straight arm holeshots
#2 Watch catching too much air...those re-entries are hard on the drives.
If you want to beat on it all the time , stay with 350/400 hp range.
