Oil Temperature going to 240
I have 675 KEs. Today I did a few 120+mph runs @ 5,800rpms for testing and saw the oil temp go up to 260 on my starboard engine. The temp gauge was still at 140 and the water pressure was at 12 lbs. Scared the hell out of me. It never happened before. I checked the oil level afterwards and it looked good. I am using Mobil I oil. Help needed, any suggestions?

Re: Oil Temperature going to 240
Not much to add here but, what was the water pressure earlier in the run? What does it run historically? Did you pick up some weeds, etc. What's in the sea strainers? You said the water normally runs at 100 degrees and the oil at 140 degrees. Aren't these low?
