Eagle Rotating Assembly

Re: Eagle Rotating Assembly
All cranks need to be checked before the engine is built. I have run Eagles in numerous motors with no problems, and these have been 6000+ RPM engines. Running top dollar parts shouldn't be a reason to not go over all tolerances and clearances with a fine tooth comb, and that is the responsibilty of the engine builder. I have heard of problems with Lunati, Callies, and other cranks, but likely those problems are build problems rather than crank problems. If you trust your engine builder as being competent then spend the extra money on heads or something that will give you a few more HP. Just my .02!

$2300 should be a price for a complete assy. including bearings and balancing. If that is just for the crank, rods, and pistons he is high as B4 more has mentioned.

For sure..but to add to it....my machine shop said the early eagle cranks were not machined well at all, and got a bad rep for that...then started machining them here and have been pretty good, even some of the high $$ enegine builders use them for bracket race engines...to say they will never break ?? well can't say that about anything....Rob
