I recently purchased a 1982 Carrera to restore. I was considering whether I should replace the two fuel tanks or trust the fact that they were not leaking and go from there. Well upon inspecting under the floor via several access hatches, I decided that there was no question in my mind that I was going to change the tanks. Good clue to have noticed the missing fuel level gauges on the dash.

The fittings to the tank are pretty corroded, and I cannot find the elec connections to where the fuel senders would connect due that the previous owner expansion foamed everything over. Better change them out at this point, and know what I am dealing, then to find out the hard way.
My question: does anyone know the capcity of each tank? I never had to fuel it up so I have no idea. I know it is a difficult job, but other than that does anyone have expirence on a Carrera with reomving\replacing the tanks?
Any ideas, as well any fuel tank builders in the Ft. Lauderdale area that anyone has had good results with.
