Re: Average Shop hours to swap motor ...
not sure about the mounts ...I know they pulled the port motor out in 1/2 day .....the starboard motor only has 25 hours on it .. should be ez swap ..28 hours is 3 and a half days !!! to me thats alot ...just iritates me that they act like they are doing me a big favor by cutting it from 28 to 14 hours ...when in reallity they should have done it righ the first time ...If they had we would not be doing it again ....

Re: Average Shop hours to swap motor ...
I have done a single long block swap on my old scarab with twins in just over 4hrs....and thats including swapping all the accessories and taking off/putting on the outdrive!! It doesnt help the fact that i did it 3 times prior in about a 2 month period!! at that point i could have doen it blindfolded!!!

I just did it in My Tiger
45 minutes for removal of engine and outdrive
2.5 hours swap over of parts
2 hours re -install
1 hour of fine tuning once in boat
And I am not handy at all at this kind of stuff. But it was pretty self explanitory and My boat afforded alot of room to work in the engine compartment
